Shredding the bowl at the new*ish venice beach skatepark – I met these guys briefly and almost got my head bashed in by accident while setting up a shot. I love shooting anything to do with skateboarding…it’s so much fun!

No Commentsthe return of Lilith Fair

I got the sweet sweet pleasure of photographing the girls of Lilith Fair last night. It was a humble return to my roots as my very first assignment ever (at the sweet young age of 18) was to photograph Lilith for a local magazine in North Carolina. To say the least, I was unprepared then but 15 years later and there I was photographing some of my favorite contemporary musicians.
Enjoy this shot of Brandi Carlile and I promise to upload more soon!

Chris and dog vitamins for skin
i met when I lived in Honduras. He wanted to become a model - I happened to be the fotographer-next-door - We recently had a chance to catch up after years of being separated by the middle of the United States. Chris graciously donated his time to model Hands Up Not Handouts bracelets which you can purchase here to support the women of the world. 100% of your purchase goes right back to the women to better their communities. Pretty damn amazing. These shots are out-takes from the shoot. Thank you Christopher! -

I was fortunate enough to vitamin a in dogs
work with the incredibly talented Zak Tiegen. We nailed out some fun headshots for his acting and commercial career. Los Angeles is a fun place to live and work with so many talented people surrounding me! The secret: an outside studio with somewhere around 10-20 different looks in 1000 square feet. -

This past weekend I drove out to cats claw supplement
Joshua Tree with my closest friends again. It's really an inspiring place and amazing to camp in the middle of a field covered with Joshua Trees - They're absolutely bizarre trees and we found out that they hurt if you try to catch a frisbee anywhere near them. I really enjoy making minimal light portraits. This Canon 7D is incredible. -

Sarah Bettens, lead singer of supplements for a dog
K's Choice played the Hotel Café in Hollywood, California. I was there to test out my new gear in a very low-light setting. I think it's the lowest light situation for me so far on the planet for shows. I've photographed Sarah over the past 6 years on both coasts - she just happens to be the lead singer of my favorite band who is about to release an album after a 6 year hiatus. So exciting. Be the first to download it here.
